All cars come with a 12 month or 20,000 km engine and
gearbox warranty which ever comes soonest. On top of this for all cars sold
over 5,000e all major items on the car i.e. axles,
suspension, differentials, electrics, air conditioning,
alternator, starter etc. will be covered for a period of
28 days from collection.
It should also be noted that with newer vehicles they
may still be covered under manufacturers warranty
,please check for details.
All cars are valeted and serviced before release to
customers, the service will include a cam belt change if
this is necessary.
Please note that all customers have a duty of care to
the vehicles they purchase, this includes stopping
immediately if a red warning light comes on or if the
temperature increases towards the red or hot zone. The
vehicle should then not be driven until the cause of the
problem has been investigated or serious damage may
occur for which The British Garage will not be liable. Oil and water levels should be checked regularly,
if you can't do this we will do it for you free of
charge, please read the following points:

The 28 day warranty covers both parts and labour for
all major items on cars sold over 5,000e.

The 1 year engine and gearbox warranty covers parts
and labour for all engine and gearbox internals not
ancillaries for one year from the date of purchase.

The Manufacturers warranties are the sole
responsibility of the manufacturers and its agents.

The warranty only covers the repair of the vehicle
at a workshop of our choice.

The warranty does not cover any malfunction due to
lack of care and attention, inadequate maintenance
or neglect of servicing (we can advise you on this).

Damage caused by " kerbing ", accidents, weather or
vandalism.

Damage caused by driving off road or on unsurfaced
tracks.

Damage due to modifications, wider wheels,
performance enhancements or the towing of trailers
or caravans.
