The British Garage has been established for 10 years and is owned and run by
Climie Hewitson. Originally from Yorkshire, he has now made Lanzarote his
home. Our other staff are English and all are Spanish speaking.
The market for buying used cars in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura is very different
from back home in England and even mainland Spain. The price of a new car is
usually slightly cheaper than in the UK, but because the market is so small
second hand cars hold their value better than in the UK. Older cars can fetch
much higher prices than back in the UK and are generally in better condition due
to the warmer drier climate.
Our knowledgeable staff will guide you though the car buying process from
finding the right car for you to
taking care of the paperwork, we can even advise on
the best places for insurance, we do all the work so you don't have to.
We aim to provide vehicles for all budgets
from as little as 3,000e right up to 35,000e. All our vehicles are competitively
priced and the price includes the following:
- A minimum 1 years ITV (MOT) 1 years warranty on
Engine & Gearbox (see warranty section for further details) or balance of
manufacturers warranty (on newer cars).
- All cars are fully valeted and serviced before customer collection including cam
belt change where necessary.
- The transfer, taxes and paperwork are also included in the price.
